Anoka County Compost Drop-off Site Reopens on Four Weekend Days in January

Compost drop-off site reopening is perfectly timed with springlike winter weather.

Fridley residents with yard waste or Christmas trees and boughs can recycle them at Anoka County's Bunker Hills Compost Site on four weekend days in January: 

  • Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, noon-4:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, noon-4:30 p.m.

Fees vary depending on what you bring:

  • For Christmas trees (with stands and all tinsel and other decorations removed), the fee is $1.50.
  • For leaves, the fee is $4 per cubic yard.
  • For branches six inches or less in diameter, the fee is $6 per cubic yard.
