Three Men Rob Fridley TCF Bank Thursday

The robbers fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The FBI is investigating a bank robbery at the Fridley TCF Bank, the agency announced Friday afternoon.

At about 7 p.m. Thursday, three robbers approached the bank counter and demanded money at the branch, located at 5205 Central Ave. NE. One of the robbers brandished a handgun.

After getting an undisclosed amount of money, the robbers fled south on Central Avenue. They are thought to have fled in a gray passenger vehicle.

The robbers are described as three black men. Two were thin and wore dark clothing. The other wore a white janitor-style body suit. All wore black masks.

The FBI, Anoka County Sheriff’s Office and Fridley Police Department are investigating the case. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at (763) 569-8000 and/or the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office (763) 427-1212.
