Thief Takes Animal Clinic's Donation Box: Fridley Police Blotter

Lost were money, medicine and more.

A female stole a donation box May 25 from Skyline Veterinary Hospital, 6200 Hwy. 65 NE, the hospital reported. The box held money, medical supplies for animals and rawhide bones.

Here are more items selected from information provided by the Fridley Police Department:

  • An officer advised a male trimming trees on the riverbank near Riverview Terrace and Hugo Street NE on May 25 to get permission first.
  • A complainant reported May 25 that a former resident of an apartment in the 5800 block of 2-1/2 Street NE threated to beat up whoever turned in former residents to immigration authorities.
  • Police responded to a May 25 report that two suspicious males walked through the yard of a house in the 5000 block of Hughes Street where residents were not staying due to tornado damage, but the males were nowhere to be found.
  •  A mother brought her 6-year-old son to the police department May 26 to report that he had been assaulted by his teacher.
  • An officer placed traffic cones around a large sink hole in the eastbound traffic lane in the 6100 block of West Moore Lake Drive on May 26.
  • A resident of the 6000 block of Woody Lane NE whose drumming prompted a complaint agreed to stop for the night on May 26.
  • A caller reported May 27 that another bus drove past illegally when a school bus had its stop arm extended.
  • Someone slashed all four tires of a vehicle parked at 6200 University Ave. NE on May 27.
  • A complainant told police May 27 that a tree service removing a downed trees a neighbors damaged a fence in the 1400 block of N. Innsbruck Drive NE.
  • A female caller said on May 27 that her boyfriend urinated on her door at an apartment building in the 5800 block of Second Street NE. 
  • Three drivers on May 27 who had stopped their vehicles in the street at Heather Circle  and Heather Place NE to talk agreed to leave.     
  • Someone spraypainted profanity on a vehicle in the 1200 block of Norton Avenue NE on May 28. 
  • A complainant in the 5500 block of Fillmore Street NE reported her nine-year-old daughter's cell phone stolen May 28; she said a call to the number prompted a threat from an unknown male.
  • An officer mediated a dispute May 28 between neighbors in the 6300 block of Pierce Street NE who were in a dispute over the placement of refuse in each others'  yards.                                                                                                                      

In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation, and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Incidents generally appear in the order in which they were reported, not necessarily the order in which they occurred.
