(UPDATED) 2 Dead in Triple Shooting in St. Anthony Village

Incident is in 3200 block of 39th Ave. NE, southeast of Fridley.

Updated (10 a.m. Wednesday): WCCO-AM radio and WCCO-TV reported from the St. Anthony police press conference this morning that other family members were home the Monday night during a triple shooting ended in the deaths of a husband and wife. The bodies of the couple were found in the driveway of their townhome. Their 25-year-old son who was shot in the leg may not have been a target, police said—he may have been trying to intervene or may have been hit by a stray bullet. Three other children—including a daughter, 16, and two sons, 19 and 23, were unhurt. Police are calling the incident a domestic fight, in which the husband shot the wife and son then himself. Police have been called to the house for domestic incidents before, the radio station said.

Updated (8 a.m. Tuesday): Reporters are headed to the St. Anthony Village police department for a 9 a.m. press conference on the triple shooting Monday night that left two people dead.

A friend of the Fridley Patch page on Facebook has identified herself as the niece of the deceased man.

Updated (7 a.m. Tuesday): According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, the deceased in the St. Anthony triple shooting are Sam and Lora Wright. The newspaper cited a family friend in identifying the couple who also provided other details about them.

Updated (10:30 p.m. Monday): KARE-TV is reporting that the man died of a self-inflicted wound but the incident hasn't been ruled murder-suicide. The deceased man is the gunman, KARE reports; the younger, injured man may be a son of the dead couple, who were married.

Updated (10:15 p.m. Monday): The Star Tribune is reporting that a man and woman are dead and a second man injured in a triple shooting in St. Anthony Monday night. The man is 52, the woman is 46, and the second man, whose injuries are not life-threatening, is 25, the newspaper said. The report also cited authorities speculating that the incident was a murder-suicide.

Thank you, Police Clips. How do you choose which incidents to post emergency-radio audio of? I noticed you said you ordinarily wouldn't post this kind of incident.
