Police Blotter: Man Tries To Get Arrested

A man tried to get police to arrest him on a non-existent warrant from New York, take him to detox or just arrest him before police took him to a bus stop.

On July 16 officers met with a man near Unity Hospital in Osborne Road who said he thought he had a warrant out for his arrest in New York – which he did not.

He then said he would like to be taken to detox, but he was not intoxicated.

Then he said he wanted to be arrested, "but instead officers gave him a ride to (a) bus stop."
