Photos: More Than 1,000 Visit Fridley Fire Open House
Kids tried their hands at aiming a firehose, people rode four stories high in an aerial bucket, and Grandpa's Ice Cream was popular.
The Fridley Fire Department Open House was a community-wide celebration, with more than 1,000 people showing up for the event on Saturday, according to Lt. Todd Messer's estimate.
Sponsors included , , Home Depot, Freedom Gas, , Schmit Towing, Senior Helpers and General Mills.
Also represented were the , Excel Energy, and the Fridley Flames Auxiliary.
