Owner finds stolen grinder at pawn shop: Fridley Police Blotter for Feb. 10

A man said he found his grinder stolen months ago at a local pawn shop.

This is a selection of police activity for Feb. 10 from information provided by the Fridley Police Department.

  • Police helped Spring Lake Park Police with a report that he found his grinder, which he believes someone stole in Spring Lake Park tw0 to three months ago, at the Max-It Pawn on University Avenue.
  • An out-of-control female passenger in a taxi cab in the 5300 block of Central Avenue NE was taken to detox.
  • Police took a driver to jail from the 8500 block of Hwy. 65 in Blaine for driving while intoxicated and refusing to take a test for intoxication.
  • Someone took a car that a victim left running to warm up with keys in the ignition in the 7300 block of West Circle NE.
  • An officer recommended a mental-health evaluation for a caller in the 100 block of 83rd Avenue NE.
  • Police arrested a man for shoplifting and for introducing a controlled substance into a correctional facility at the Menards store on Central Avenue NE. They also arrested a man for disorderly conduct and served trespass notices on a juvenile male and juvenile female.
  • A complainant reported someone took the rear license plate from his vehicle while it was parked in the 7400 block of Central Avenue NE.
  • A resident in the 1000 block of Fillmore Circle reported that someone fraudulently filed a tax return in her name, resulting in the Internal Revenue Service seeking $700 from her.
  • A student returned money taken from a teacher in the 800 block of Osborne Road NE.
  • A caller in the 6400 block of Riverview Terrace NE reports that an energy company is fraudulently billing her for service at a house she owned many years ago.
  • A burglar or burglars took numerous items including electronics from a residence in the 6700 block of Brookview Drive NE.
  • Officers cited two adults for shoplifting at Cub Foods on 57th Avenue NE.
  • A dog reported as running loose for two days in the 5700 block of W. Moore Lake Drive NE ran away when officers approached.
  • Someone stole a gym bag from a vehicle in the parking lot of the Target store on 53rd Avenue. 
  • Police arrested a suspect in the 100 block of 83rd Avenue NE for domestic assault. 
  • An officer did not locate a vehicle whose driver had pointed a gun at a caller (according to the caller) then left the area of Central and 53rd avenues NE via I-694
