Mpls. Emergency Center in Fridley Lost Power in Tornado

The recently built facility is in the southwest corner of Fridley, along the Mississippi River, just north of Minneapolis.

The City of Minneapolis' new Emergency Operations Center, built within the City of Fridley just north of 37th Avenue NE and west of East River Road NE, was without power in the first few hours after the May 22 tornado, according to Minnesota Public Radio.
