Mother, Son Bagged on Grocery Shoplifting
Injured goose, burglaries and pawned property also on the incidence log.
The Fourth of July was a firecracker of day for a woman and her juvenile son.
The pair was caught allegedly shoplifting at the Fridley Cub Foods supermarket.
Fridley Police wrote up the mother on a misdemeanor complaint while they issued a contact report on her son.
That was one of numerous calls reported by Fridley Police on their incidence log for the week of July 4 to 10.

July 4
Theft-Bicycle reported stolen in the 1000 block of of 83 Ave. NE.
Disorderly conduct- Police officers dispatched to 700 block of Rice Creek Terrace NE on a report of two males arguing over hanging some lights. One male was given a ride home. No charges were filed.
July 5
Burglary-7000 block of West Circle NE. Officer took a burglary report, where some items were recovered. A possible suspect was developed, and a juvenile runaway who happened by the scene was taken into custody and returned home to parents. Fridley detective unit to follow up.
July 6
Injured goose/animal complaint- Police received a call about a goose that was wrapped up in fishing line. The goose was caught and transported to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Roseville for medical attention.
July 7
Robbery- An Area restaurant supervisor was robbed by three males while making a bank deposit at TCF Bank, 5205 Central Ave. NE.
Burglary- At 5700 block of West Moore Lake Drive NE. Caller reported someone forced their way into his home. No merchandise reported missing. Police issued the caller a case number.
July 8
Vehicle theft-- Officer dispatched to 5300 block of East River Road on a report of vehicle theft. No suspect information was available at time of the report.
July 9
Pawning property of another- Police cited a female with five counts of pawning the property of another and receiving stolen property after she pawned numerous items stolen from a friend's mother in Arden Hills.
July 10
Burglary- Report of burglary in the 1100 block of Regis Lane . One suspect was taken into custody.
Counterfeit currency- A white male in his early twenties entered the Fridley liquor store, 200 block of 57th Ave. NE. and attempted to buy a bottle of Korbel with three one dollar bills on top of four counterfeit one dollar bills.
Male was confronted by the caller and left on a small bicycle in unknown direction. Left the money and liquor at the store. Money entered into evidence
