Man Robbed CVS with Silver Handgun, Fridley Police Say

Suspect description released in incident authorities say took place Wednesday.

A robber struck the in Fridley Wednesday, according to police.

Here is a statement the Fridley Police Department released Thursday:

On Wednesday June 27th, 2012 at 6:47 pm, Fridley Police Officers were called to the CVS Pharmacy in the 5600 Block of University Avenue on a report of an aggravated robbery.

Upon arrival, Fridley officers learned that a suspect had robbed the pharmacy.  A silver revolver handgun was used during the incident.  No injuries were reported.

Officers searched the area and were unable to locate the suspect.

The incident is being investigated by the Fridley Police Department and Anoka County Sheriff’s Department.

Suspect description: White male in his 30’s, dark brown hair, light beard, medium build, wearing a tan jacket, white and black t-shirt, blue baseball cap, black work gloves, camouflage colored shorts.
