Judge Judy Is Next Stop for Theft Victim: Fridley Police Blotter

She lacks proof but has an idea who did it, so she plans to take her case to a civil courtroom on TV.

Here are items selected from information provided by the Fridley Police Department:

March 5: 

  • A caller said someone used her Social Security and MasterCard and withdrew funds without her permission. She said she is taking her daughter's boyfriend to civil court with Judge Judy to resolve the issue. 
  • A caller said someone egged her car in the 5700 block of Central Avenue NE. 
  • Officers mediated a heated argument between residents and the management office in the 7800 block of East River Road. 
  • Police cited a driver for inattentive driving after he admitted he had been reaching for his cell phone when his vehicle struck three parked vehicles at Gardena Avenue  and Tennison Drive NE. 
  • Police determined that an injured and heavily intoxicated man in a bus shelter at 73rd and University avenues NE had been assaulted.

  • Someone broke the driver's side rear passenger window of a vehicle at LifeTime Fitness, 1200 E. Moore Lake Dr., but didn't take anything. 
  • Police caught a suspect in the 1000 block of South Circle who had an outstanding warrant and had fled on foot. 
  • The driver of a vehicle that nearly hit a police squad head-on at 73rd Avenue and Baker Street NE was arrested for driving while intoxicated. 
  • A driver requested a Breathalyzer test because her vehicle's Interlock Breathalyzer had failed. She blew 0.000. 
  • A suspect confessed and was charged with fourth-degree burglary and fourth-degree damage to property in the 5600 block of Arthur Street NE. 
  • A driver who crashed his vehicle into a garbage can in the 100 block of 83rd Avenue NE was taken to the hospital for a drug overdose. 

March 7: 

  • Police checked on an unlicensed tree trimmer with a boom truck in the 1300 block of Mississippi Street NE. 
  • A family member brought a juvenile male to police headquarters who turned himself in for two warrants.
  • An admitted heroin user who has overdosed two times since Feb. 2 may have overdosed again in the 100 block of Mississippi Place NE. 
  • Multiple footprints in the snow led a caller to report suspicious activity in the 5300 block of Matterhorn Circle NE. 
  • A homeowner left his garage door open in the 200 block of 61st Avenue NE. 


In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation, and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Incidents generally appear in the order in which they were reported, not necessarily the order in which they occurred.
