Fridley Woman Thought She Sold Her Ring for $6,500

Assaulting Grandma, Shooting Shirt on a Clothes Line and vehicle theft are among other calls logged by police.

A Fridley woman thought she had recently sold one of her rings for $6,500 to a business in London. 
Only problem: It appears the business, an online company, is a fake, according to a complaint filed last week by the woman to Fridley Police.
That was among the more notable calls logged by Fridley Police for the week of July 11 to 17.  Here is a sampling of other calls logged by Fridley Police (information from Fridley Poice):
 
July 11

Burglary-residential. 100 block of 49th Ave. NE.

Theft- three stolen bicycles from 100 block of 83rd Ave. NE. 

Theft- $200 stolen from Craigs List ad. 

July 12

Fourth-degree DWI- 6800 block of University Ave. NE. Driver booked. 

Theft- flowers stolen from side of garage, 5600 block of West Bavarian Pass. 

Theft from vehicle- 7600 block of Hwy. 65 NE. Chainsaws stolen from vehicle. 

Disorderly conduct- intoxicated resident at Springbrook Apartments, 170 block of 83rd Ave. NE. 

Disorderly conduct- Employee at a business in the 500 block of Osborne Road  reported being threatened by an unknown man while she was at work. 

July 13

Attempted burglary at 7100 block of East River Road. 

Vehicle theft- 5800 block of Third St. NE. Reported by owner.  

July 14

Disorderly conduct- 500 block of Osborne Road. Police dispatched to deal with an out-of-control male who was later taken to jail, without incident. 

Fifth-degree assault- Lucia Lane Apartments. Woman arrested for allegedly assaulting her grandmother. 

Vehicle theft- 6500 block of East River Road. 

Recovered  stolen vehicle-4100 block of East River Road. Driver arrested for possession of stolen vehicle. Suspect transported to Anoka County Jail. 

July 15

Damage to property/weapon discharged without a permit- 4500 block of Main St. NE. An adult male was cited for shooting a neighbor's shirt with pellet gun. The shirt had been hung out to dry on the owner's clothes line. 

July 16

Counterfeit-Fake $100 passed off at the Freedom Gas station, 7600 University Ave. NE. 

Third-degree DWI- Driver arrested at 44th Ave NE and Third St NE for DWI. 

Vehicle theft- Caller reported snowmobile trailer stolen from Hitching Post Motorsports.
