Fridley Police Department Softball Team Plays for Charity

Members of the Fridley Police Department took on other public safety teams from the area to raise money for charity.

Fridley police took on members of the Columbia Heights fire and police departments in the opening game of Columbia Heights' ninth annual charity softball tournament Aug. 3.

(SACA) was the beneficiary of donated nonperishable food items or cash at the event.

The night included a potluck meal and presentation by an officer with a dog from the K-9 unit.
