Fridley Man Convicted in Gun Sale as Felon

Another resident was charged with drunk driving.

A federal jury returned a guilt verdict Thursday for on one count of possessing a firearm as a felon, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.

Bugh sold a .357 revolver in a St. Paul parking lot on Jan. 20, 2011, the jury decided, in what prosecutors termed a "controlled law enforcement transaction."

His sentencing hearing isn't set, but Bugh, 42, of Fridley, faces prison for 15 years to life. The 15-year minimum applies because three or more of his previous convictions were crimes of violence, the U.S. Attorney's office said in a statement.
