Fridley Man Charged After 80 MPH Car Chase From Police

The man is being charged with fleeing a police officer.

Charges have been filed against a 23-year-old Fridley man for fleeing a police officer after a 4.4-mile car chase, KSTP reported.

Fredrick Denard Taylor was stopped on July 20 by Spring Lake Park police after turning without signaling.

Police said they asked Taylor to exit his vehicle in order to check if his two female passengers were underage, but he instead stepped on the gas, according to KSTP.

The multiple police car chase took place on 85th Avenue, with Taylor reaching speeds of 80 miles per hour before his car stopped on Indian Hills Road.

Police found seven grams of marijuana in his car, KSTP reported.
