Fridley Chief: 2nd Mobile-home Park Fire Unrelated to 1st

Fridley Fire Department was back at manufactured-home park Thursday afternoon to put out a fire under a deck at a residence at the north end of West Circle NE.

Fire Chief John Berg said it was a smoldering fire that would be under investigation Friday.

He also said it was unrelated to a , totaling the structure.

A man inside that home went to the hospital for chest pains and was released, Berg said.

Fires in manufactured-home parks can leap from one structure to another more easily than in neighborhoods with more space between buildings. The Tuesday fire also spread to a shed building, Berg said.
