Drunk was older than 17 but younger than 21: Fridley Police Blotter

Police cited an intoxicated adult male for underage consumption who was walking in the 4300 block of East River Road and younger than 21 and took him to jail.

Here are other items selected from information provided by the Fridley Police Department:

March 26:

• An officer on routine patrol stopped a vehicle that had been stolen in Maple Grove at 73rd and University avenues NE  and took the driver into custody. 
• A female was cited for shoplifting $449.99 worth of merchandise at Menards, 5351 Central Ave. NE.

March 27:

• An officer called the person who left a suspicious note on a vehicle in th 5800 block of Washington Street NE. The note-writer apologized and said he wouldn't do it again.
• A male slumped over at a bus stop in the 700 block of 53rd Avenue NE said he was just resting until the bus came and appeared to be fine. 
• A cab driver who found a wallet in his cab the night before turned it in to the police department. 

March 28:

• Two males were taken from Center Circle and Oakley Street NE to detox after at first being unable to pay the fare for their cab ride, then paying it but not knowing where they lived.
• An officer arrested a suspect on a warrant without incident after observing him in a bedroom in th 7400 block of Able Street NE and being let into the residence.

March 29:

• An alarm went off at the Springbrook Nature Center, 100 85th Ave. NE, but officers found the center secure.
• An officer mediated a dispute among a large group of juveniles in the 7400 block of Taylor Street NE who agreed to stay away from each other.
• Police stopped a suspicious male on a bicycle at 73rd Avenue and Baker Street NE, arrested him on a warrant and for posession of meth and syringes they found in his pocket. 
• Police arrested a father for fourth-degree assault on medical personnel and his son for disorderly conduct after a call to the 600 block of Ely Street NE about a male ingesting a narcotic.

March 30:

• A noise complaint in the 5600 block of Seventh Street NE turned out to be due to a temper-tantrum over popped balloons.
• A caller said a neighbor had sent his dog to the caller's yard to defecate.
• Police put a bumper with attached license plate into storage that was on the shoulder of the road in the 6100 block of University Avenue NE. 

In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation, and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Incidents generally appear in the order in which they were reported, not necessarily the order in which they occurred.
