Burglary on Alden Way while Residents Slept, Fridley Police Say

Crime Alert emphasizes importance of locking all doors at your home.

Someone walked right into a house in the 6200 block of Alden Way NE between 11 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday, according to Fridley police, and it couldn't have been easier: The front door was unlocked.

The intruder or intruders made off with a woman's purse, a man's wallet and several credit cards, according to a crime alert from the Fridley Police Department. (See PDF.)

"Several additional thefts have taken place in the neighborhood during the past week," the alert said, with burgled items including a bicycle, electronics from a vehicle and refrigeration repair equipment.
