Fridley Man Arrested in Coon Rapids Jewelry Store Heist
Anoka County Sheriff's Office calls publicity from store-video images 'decisive factor.'
The Anoka County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of a suspect in .
The suspect, a 23-year-old man whose last known address was in Fridley, has not yet been charged. Fridley Patch does not generally report suspects' names until prosecutors file a criminal complaint.
The suspect snatched a $15,000 diamond ring, according to police.

Authorities publicized still images and video clips from surveillance video cameras, both at Kay Jewelry and at another Anoka County jewelry store that the same suspect visited.
"No doubt the exposure received was the decisive factor in the leads which generated the arrest," Cdr. Paul Sommer of the sheriff's office said in a statement.

The case remains under investigation by the Coon Rapids Police Department and the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.
