Fingerprints from jail drinking glasses helped authorities ID her as Tammy Antoinette Thomas.

The woman known as "Jane Doe" because she now holds the record for , according to Lt. Paul Lenzmeier of the Anoka County Sheriff's Office.

"The odd thing is that we told her we know who she is now," Lenzmeier said.

"What's odd is that she's continuing to be belligerent. At some point you think: 'Game's up.' But she's more belligerant than she was prior [to learning authorities had identified her]."

How Authorities ID'd Her
Lenzmeier said the Tricounty Lab's latent print examiner was able last week to lift fingerprints from drinking glasses Thomas had used in her cell. Those linked her to fingerprints from a previous booking in Warrenville, IL, that belonged to Tammy Antoinette Thomas, he said.

Thomas faces a charge of trespassing in the house where Fridley police found her July 10, 2012; another charge of receiving stolen property, for the car they found in the garage; and three charges of identity theft, for the large amount of other people's paperwork prosecutors said police found in the house.

Thomas also remains in jail under a contempt of court conviction for not giving a judge her real name. Lenzmeier said authorities finding her identity on their own didn't change her contempt of court status.
