Help Stop Bullying in Westwood Middle School in Spring Lake Park

I just wanted to share a little story about my grand-daughter and how bad it is to see her come home from school with a story of kids being mean to her at school. It breaks my heart to see such a wonderful young girl who loves school be called bad names and pushed down in the halls. Better yet one of her teacher's told the class that they would be docked points if they needed to go to the bathroom after class started and before class was over. Since when do teachers have the right to stop a child from going to the bathroom. It is hard enough to be in school, being picked on and if you had to go to the bathroom real bad but was told no, you have an accident that would make kids laugh at you and call you names. This is not only going on in this school but on the bus as well. She is being called Mexican and the wonderful "B***H word. This happened to my older grand-daughter in this same school. We pulled her out of the school, did home school for one year and now she is in a charter school doing much better. I want this to stop. My daughter went to the school to let them know what is going on. We are told parents can't be in the school but I say parents need to step up and help stop this kind of actions from students. I will push with all my power to help stop this and also to have something done to the teacher about the bathroom rule she has. If you are a parent having the same problems in this school with your children please share and lets ban together to get the word out that we are not going to take this for our kids. Next step more getting the word out about this school and the bus system, News coverage, News paper coverage and more if I have too. I want my grand-kids and their friends to be safe in school and have it be a memory they will enjoy.
