Captive on Public Transit

Not Just Security, But Etiquette

The signs addressing loud cell phone use on the bus are clear.  Why is it any different with loud cursing and aggressive behavior?  Transit service should ensure respect and dignity, as well as security, especially for children and the elderly.  Why must we turn our heads, pretend not to hear, and accept this captive environment in order to avoid getting in a fight?  People who curse and are disruptive to others should be warned, and then put off the bus.  Yes, you can do it!  Cameras and speakers from the driver can be put in the back of the bus where it's most dangerous.  It's not about race, or age, or gender, it's about respect, and if airlines and Greyhound can require it, Metro Transit can too!
