Get rid of your unwanted electronics free of charge on Nov. 14 at Fridley Middle School!

Fridley Public Schools has partnered with Causes International, the City of Fridley and the Medtronic Corporation in a fundraising effort to benefit Fridley Schools. Causes International is a nonprofit organization that recycles and up-cycles electronics for great causes. Through the “up-cycling” process, the company takes electronics and either recycles them for parts or up-cycles electronics in working condition to be used again, often in developing countries.

The Fridley School District will have a donation drop off at Fridley Middle School parking lot on November 14 from 5 - 9 p.m. Volunteers will be on hand to take the donated electronics and store them safely where Causes International will pick them up after the 9 p.m. cut off time.

Everyone is encouraged to bring electronic items (in any working condition) such as televisions, cellular phones, video game consoles, desktop and laptop computers, computer modems, fax machines, DVD and VCR players, plus much more for a recycling event that is not only good for our environment but also supports our schools.
