Attached is the September - October issue of "The Record." Many color photos of AugustFest.

Check out the newspaper ad on page 5. The ad promotes Andy's Carpet Farm at 200 Mississippi Street across from Holly Shopping Center. The ad has an illustration of a large barn. But having been born in Fridley in 1936 and lived there until the late 1970s, I personally cannot recall any barn between the rail road tracks and University Avenue in the 1960s, but I could be wrong.

In the 1950s and earlier, at that address, there was the Tipperary Farm that existed from the early 1900s and I believe was owned by Ray & Ted Nelson who also started Clover Leaf Creamery. But I think the house and barn were torn down in the 1950s for new development.

Anybody remember Andy's Carpet in a barn on Mississippi Street? Please e-mail me if you have any recollection of this business and maybe shopped there.
