Minnesota Hope & Hearts Run / Memorial Walk for Pregnancy and Infant Loss

Eighth Annual Minnesota Hope and Hearts Run Supports Grieving Families.


Families who have experienced a pregnancy loss or infant loss, infertility or adoption gather for a day to GRACE:“Grieve, Restore, Arise, Commemorate and Educate,” on September 7.

Coon Rapids, MN– Join together with friends and family at the 8th annual Minnesota Hope & Hearts Run, Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013. The event is a day of remembrance, celebration, and restoration for bereaved families, as well as a fundraiser for the nonprofit Missing GRACE Foundation.The beautiful Bunker Hills Regional Park serves as the backdrop for the day’s events.

Registration begins at 7 a.m., the timed 5K Run begins at 9 a.m., Memorial Walk at 9:15 a.m., and Kids’ Fun Dash at 10:30 am. The familyfriendly event features complimentary refreshments, live music, personalized event Tshirts, memorial wall and concludes with the emotional Hearts to Heaven Balloon Release and reading of babies names no longer with us.

Proceeds support Missing GRACE Foundation’s programs and The Center for GRACE in Rogers, MN. The Center provides grief counseling, support groups, a library, gift shop, kids play area, and a peaceful sanctuary to drop in for support.

Missing GRACE Foundation has been serving families in Minnesota and nationwide since 2002. The organization provides education and bereavement materials for professional care providers as well as resources and support for families that have experienced a pregnancy loss, infant loss, infertility or adoption. Executive Director, Candy McVicar, is passionate about their initiatives that support stillbirth awareness and prevention, stating, “We believe mothers need to be given every resource to help them bring their babies into the world safely. Through educational materials, classes, phone and online support provided by Missing GRACE, mothers learn how to prevent having a miscarriage or stillbirth.
