How to Read A Poem; A workshop at Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts

Do you enjoy reading, but find yourself avoiding poetry because it’s

just too hard to understand? You’re not alone, says Minnesota poet

Kathleen Jesme. “Many people would like to enjoy poetry, but they feel

put off by it,” said Jesme, an award-winning poet from Inver Grove

Heights, Minnesota. Jesme, who has published five books of poems, will

be giving a one-hour workshop on “How to Read a Poem” at Banfill-Locke

Center for the Arts.

The workshop is made possible by an Artist Initiative grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board.
