Cory Wong Quartet/Quintet to perform at Fridley Community Center

Fridley Public Schools Community Education and The City of Fridley Recreation Department are inviting the public to come and enjoy the jazz styles of local artist Cory J. Wong and his group, the Cory Wong Quartet/Quintet. The group will perform on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. at the Fridley Community Center.  The quartet/quintet features Cory J. Wong on guitar, Sten Johnson on Trumpet, Ben Kelly on Bass, Alex Kosak on Guitar and Jay Augspurger on drums. If you love hearing great music then this is a night you won’t want to miss!


Born in Poughkeepsie, NY and raised in Minnesota, Cory has established himself as the go-to guitarist, composer, and arranger for dozens of artists throughout the upper mid-west. He has been called one of the most versatile and exciting musicians in the Twin Cities, and has been featured in several publications and websites, including NPR, MPR, and the Mpls/St. Paul magazine. There will be two 45 minute sets with a dessert intermission included. Tickets are $12 (Ages 50+) or $15 (General Admission).
