Ex- Excerpt?!

Yes, I am still going to share excerpts from my awesome writing projects here on this blog. Once the mania subsides from my meeting Weird Al, it'll get back to being a pretty regular occurrence. I'd like to start it back up with an excerpt from an upcoming... Well here's the thing. I don't really know what genre to place it in. It's... It's kind of like a memoir or biography, but more like a blog post? It's very stream of consciousness and random.
I've written two other pieces this same way and they've both been moderate successes as far as my books go. And since I was inspired to start writing a third, I now have close to 2000 words of it on my harddrive.

So anyway here's an excerpt from Confessions Of A Fangirl:

I don’t think there’s ever been a point in my life where I haven’t been a fangirl. I’ve always had something to obsess over, be it Harry Potter, Sesame Street, Powerpuff Girls, Sailor Moon, Weird Al, cats, Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, Slipknot, Star Wars, The Princess Bride, or any of the other various things I’ve ever latched onto.

My earliest known fangirling was over Grover. Yes. Grover from Sesame Street. Obviously this had to have been spurred by my mom and her ability to do the Grover voice (and also the Yoda voice) perfectly. But that was when I was like three years old.

After that I became a Trekkie, although the love for Star Trek didn’t really start sinking in properly until way into my teen years. Because immediately after first being exposed to Star Trek, my mom started letting me watch “The Ewok Adventure” and I completely forgot about Star Trek and was focused on Ewoks. This evolved into my love of Star Wars, which verged on all-consuming need for more than twelve years of my life.
