When I was just shy of 11 years old, my mom first introduced me to Weird Al's music. Now, at age 24, I have finally met him. This man I have looked up to and idolized for 12 years- and it was the single best day of my life. It did not hit me that I was about to meet Weird Al until I was finally the next person in line- and then I nearly started sobbing.
If my mom were still alive today, I would have wanted her there with me. As it stands, I couldn't have asked for better company. My best friend, Brianna, was there with me. The picture was taken with her camera, and she sat giggling with me after the fact when literally the only coherent phrase I could still form was OH MY GOD I MET WEIRD AL YANKOVIC. I MET WEIRD AL. I MET WEIRD AL.
Also she's been making Sea Pancake (long story, some other time) plushies and so gave one to Al and his whole face lit up and he was just laughing REALLY HARD when we told him what it was. It was great.
