Who Do You Honor This Memorial Day?

Many people know someone who has died while serving in this country's military—whether it’s a friend, a brother or sister, a parent or grandparent, or a husband or wife.

While these fallen soldiers should be celebrated, thanked and remembered throughout the year, Memorial Day is special day for paying respects.

How are you marking this day? Two nearby events include a parade from New Brighton City Hall (leaves 9:30 a.m.) to the St. John the Baptist Cemetery (ceremony at 10 a.m.); and a at the Columbia Heights City Hall (11:30 a.m.).
