Don't Like Fridley Weather? Move Your Mouse in Google Street View

Google Street View offers instant climate change just by crossing a street or zooming in.

The saying goes that if you don't like Minnesota's weather, just wait a minute and it'll change.

But people who poke around online on Google Street View don't even have to wait that minute. At 73rd and Old Central avenues NE in Fridley, for example, all you have to do is (virtually) cross the street.

Using Google Street View, the view looking north on Old Central just south of 73rd is bright and sunny. But move north one click through the intersection and the sky clouds over and the trees lose their leaves on what clearly is a different, late fall day.

If you want more change, zoom in on the scene to either side of Old Central and you suddenly get snow.
