Storms barrelling through Minnesota could clip Anoka County and neighboring counties Friday. The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch that lasts until 1 p.m., but said there was a chance for storms to return after 4 p.m. as well.
The weather will heat up over the weekend along with prolonged high humidity. The NWS has issued an Excessive Heat Warning that includes Anoka County, with the worst day being Sunday.
