Relive History at History Center's Augustfest

The 16th annual Augustfest at the Fridley History Center is Monday, Aug. 8.

The Fridley Historical Society will celebrate its 16th annual AugustFest, Monday, Aug. 8 at 6 p.m. at the Fridley History Center, 611 Mississippi St.

The public is welcome to the free event which will last until dusk. 

The evening will include:
- Music by The Fridley Band, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary.- Mayor Scott Lund will introduce the Fridley Ambassadors.
- The Fridley Fire Department will be there with their hook and ladder truck.
- Mango the clown will provide entertainment for children of all ages.

Bring a lawn chair for a comfortable seat.

A menu of Chicago dogs, Brats, pop and water will be for sale. Free ice cream will be provided, courtesy of Lund.

An old fashioned baseball game will be played by the Quick Steps team against the Fridley home team.

After the game everyone is invited to the History Center for cake and lemonade to celebrate.
