POLL: What Can We Do to Make Pedestrians Safer?

The pace of pedestrian deaths is up in MN, the Star Tribune reported. How safe do you feel on foot in Fridley streets?

Pedestrians in Minnesota are dying after being hit by vehicles at 164 percent of last year's rate, according to the Star Tribune.

Two of the latest were in Anoka County: An elderly couple died Saturday after they were struck while walking in a crosswalk against a red light in Ramsey.

At his blog Pedestrian Safety, Dale Butler suggested one way to improve pedestrian safety in Fridley: Issue tickets to vehicles that block crosswalks when they stop at intersections for red lights.

  • What would you like to see change in order to make streets safer for pedestrians?
  • How safe do you feel walking on streets in Fridley?

Book your hotel early. Some hotels are booked a year in advance of the parade, and last-minute reservations can be entirely impossible. Try to get a room that is not above the twelfth floor, or you won't see much other than the tops of balloons. Thanks a lot. http://www.geometryhelp.biz/questions-and-answers/ | geometry help answers
