Photos: Storms Shake up North Metro

Storms are taking an unusual southeast-to-northwest route through the metro area Tuesday, including one that produced small tornadoes north of Fridley, according to reports.

The sky, looking north on Old Central Avenue and Hwy. 65 at about 3:30 p.m. , was interesting to look at.

Earlier, drivers of northbound vehicles exiting Hwy. 65 onto Old Central Avenue found themselves in water several inches deep all across the roadway.

It took one driver several minutes to restart a car after it stalled in the huge puddle.
