Fridley Honors Fallen Cambridge Fire Fighter on Central Ave.

Locals saluted Chip Imker, who died in a training accident.

Fridley fire fighters turned out Thursday to honor fallen fire fighter Chip Imker, 35, of Cambridge, who died this week after falling during rope training

Emergency vehicles with lights flashing escorted Imker's body north on Central Avenue NE and Highway 65 in route from Hennepin County Medical Center home to Isanti County.

The Fridley contingent stood along the sidewalk on the east side of Central Avenue at 53rd Avenue, under an American flag hanging from the end of an extended fire ladder.
