Grab & Go Kids Planner: This Week's Arctic Thrills
Here's our regular feature for moms and families, with tips on when to grab the kids and where to go.

BOWLING
Where/When: ; Mondays & Wednesdays 9 a.m. to midnight, Tuesdays & Thursdays noon to midnight, Fridays & Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 a.m., Sundays 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Why Go: Let’s face it, cabin fever is in full swing. Take the kids to bowl out all that pent up energy.
FAMILY STORYTIME
Where/When: on Thursdays at 11 a.m.
Why Go: It’s a great opportunity to share books, rhymes and movement activities with your child.
Price: Free
HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETICS
Where/When: On Thursday Feb. 10; Boys Swim Meet at Columbia Heights High School at 6 p.m., Wrestling Meet at at 7 p.m., Boys Basketball at Spring Lake Park High School at 7:15 p.m., and Girls Basketball at at 7:15 p.m.
Why Go: Instill a little inspiration into your young athletes at home as the winter sport seasons reach their peaks.
LEARN HOW TO CROSS-COUNTRY SKI
Where/When: Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park on Saturday, Feb. 12 from 2-4 p.m.
Why Go: Cross-country skiing is an all around grand winter sport for all ages. Take advantage of Anoka County’s instruction, skis and parks.

FROZEN FUN
Where/When: The on Tuesday, Feb. 15 from 10-11 a.m.
Why Go: Children aged 3 to 5 years old, accompanied by an adult, get to explore frozen fun found in nature through stories, crafts, outdoor discovery and other hands-on activities.
Price: $3 per child
