Grab & Go Kids Planner: St. Patrick, Paul Bunyan and Critters

A new Wednesday feature providing tips about when to grab the kids and where to go!

Fridley Patch has assembled a weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities both locally and within sturdy stone’s throw. Look for the Grab & Go each Wednesday, and help us build the planner with your own suggestions and tips—just add them to the comment box. Patch wants to hear from you!


Where/When: Northtown Library (711 Cty. Rd. 10, Blaine) on Wednesday, March 16 at 2 p.m.
Why Go: Any age kid, adult or even leprechaun will enjoy the naturalist-led program featuring live animals.
Price: Free

ST. PATRICK’S DAY CELEBRATION
Where/When: Landmark Center (75 W. Fifth St., St. Paul) on Thursday, March 17 from 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Why Go: Venture a bit east with the wee ones to find the Irish culture in full swing.
Price: $6


Where/When: Northtown Library (711 Cty. Rd. 10, Blaine) on Saturday, March 19 from 2–3 p.m.
Why Go: Families with kids of all ages will the musical performance featuring Paul Bunyan, Babe, Pilly Flapjack and the Minnesota Mosquito.
Price: Free

ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE
Where/When: Nicollet Mall (Nicollet Avenue and 13th Street, Minneapolis) on Thursday, March 17 at 6:30 p.m.
Why Go: Irish flair galore.
