A new Wednesday feature providing tips about when to grab the kids and where to go!
Fridley Patch has assembled a weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities both locally and within sturdy stone’s throw. Look for the Grab & Go each Wednesday, and help us build the planner with your own suggestions and tips—just add them to the comment box. Patch wants to hear from you!

Sustainable Shelter
Where/When: Bell Museum of Natural History, 10 Church St. SE, Minneapolis, on Thursdays, 9 a.m.–9 p.m.; Fridays, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.; Saturdays, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.; and Sundays, noon–5 p.m.
Why Go: Learn about the various natural dwellings of both animals and humans.
Price: Adults, $5; children (3-16) and seniors, $3; younger than 3 years, free. Free admission on Sundays.
Barrio Grrrl: A New Musical
Where/When: The Children’s Theatre Company (2400 Third Ave. South, Minneapolis) on Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 11 a.m. or 2 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. or 5 p.m.
Why Go: Check out the new coming-of-age pop musical featuring a 9-year-old girl trying to find a balance between her Latino culture, family and alter-ego Barrio Grrrl.
