Grab & Go Kids Planner

A new Wednesday feature providing tips about when to grab the kids and where to go!

Fridley Patch assembles this weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities both locally and within sturdy stone’s throw. Look for the Grab & Go each Wednesday, and help us build the planner with your own suggestions and tips—simply add them to the comment box. Patch wants to hear from you!


Where/When: Columbia Heights Public Library on Thursdays from 3:30–5:30 p.m.
Why Go: Take in an after school movie based on a popular youth book.
Price: Free


Where/When: on Thursday, March 3, 6–7:30 p.m.
Why Go: Enjoy a free dinner and exciting activities that encourage kids to read.
Price: Free


Where/When: Spring Lake Park High School cafeteria on Friday, March 4, 5–8 p.m.
Why Go: Take the family out for cheap dinner while helping local students raise funds for college and spring camps. There’s also a silent auction featuring Minnesota Wild tickets amongst other prizes.
Price: Adults $6, Children (3-10 yrs) $4, Kids under 3 eat for Free


Where/When: Learning Tree Yoga on Saturdays from 11–11:45 a.m.
Why Go: Try the new inventive yoga infused story time with your toddler. See this week's Moms Talk feature about Storytime Yoga!
Price: $10.50/class, or $15 with siblings


Where/When: Rum River Library (4201 6th Ave N., Anoka) on Saturday, March 5, 2 p.m.
Why Go: Families will have an excellent time hearing and learning about all the instruments unique to Irish and Scottish music.
Price: Free
