Waffles, Pumpkins, Vampires: Get Out in Fridley

Fridley's weekend entertainment guide to pumpkin-lit trails, a silent vampire film, and delectable waffles.

Thursday, the one day Fridley Patch loves telling you what to do.




When: Saturday, Oct. 22 from 8 a.m. to noon.
Where: (University Avenue NE side of the building)
Why Go: The Fridley Fire Department Flames Auxiliary and Lions Club invites you to the Fridley Fire Station No. 1 for an all-you-can-eat Belgian Waffle breakfast including sausage, flavored syrups and beverages.
Price:  $6 for ages 6 and older. Kids 5 and younger eat for free.




When: Saturday, Oct. 22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Fridley History Center (611 Mississippi St. NE)
Why Go: Community members are invited to explore the city’s history.
Price: Free Admission, donations appreciated




When: Saturday, Oct. 22 from 1 to 2 p.m.
Where:
Why Go: Magician Norm Barnhart (aka The Great Normondo) will perform an hour long show and then reveal the tricks of the trade so teens can soon be the ones baffling their friends.
Price: Free


   

When: Saturday, Oct. 22 from 6 to 10 p.m.
Where:
Why Go: Fridley’s premier pumpkin experience features a family-friendly atmosphere filled with adventurous pumpkin lit trails and a dance in the pumpkin patch.
Price: $6 per person. Children 2 and younger are free.




When: Sunday, Oct. 23 at 2 p.m.
Where: Minneapolis Institute of Art (2400 Third Ave. S., Minneapolis)
Why Go: Organist will be playing his own original score on the piano with the silent film Nosferatu: a Symphony of Horror in the Pillsbury Auditorium at the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
Price: $10 for the public, $5 for MIA members.
