Fridley Woman Near Boston Marathon Bomb: After 2nd Explosion, 'I Think We All Knew'

Sherrie Kutzler was standing across the street from the site of the first blast, waiting to cheer her husband Frank, KSTP-TV reported.

KSTP-TV interviewed Frank and Sherrie Kutzler of Fridley, who were near the explosions at the Boston Marathon Monday. Frank was running and nearing the end of the race, while Sherrie was standing across the street from the site of the first bomb, as she told KSTP:

"It was loud. And we saw the smoke from the first one. And then while we we're watching the first one, the second one went off. ... I think we all knew. Everybody ducked."

Frank Kutzler said that's where he expected she would be:

"I knew from when I do this run two years ago that she would position herself pretty close to the finish line."
