Breaking: Police Find Suspects after Search in Columbia Heights

Officer injured during initial foot pursuit, according to reports.

Police took at least one suspect into custody at 9 p.m. Monday after a search that centered on Circle Terrace in Columbia Heights. They then cancelled a Minnesota State Patrol helicopter they had requested earlier to help with the search.

Police had been searching for two suspects Monday, one possibly armed with a gun, according to Anoka County Emergency Dispatch radio scanner reports and the Police Clips Facebook page, after they answered a domestic-disturbance call some time after 8 p.m. on Circle Terrace NE, Columbia Heights.

8:34 p.m.: A person monitoring emergency scanner reports in Hilltop reports to Fridley Patch that police are searching for two suspects, one possibly armed with a gun, after they answered a domestic call on Circle Terrace in Columbia Heights. One officer is down.

8:36 p.m.: The Police Clips Facebook page confirms that report: "Columbia Heights was in a foot chase and setting up perimeter just off Circle Terrace. Officer injured himself. 2 suspects still outstanding. 1 possibly armed"
