Updated: 26 Fridley Runners Finish MedtronicTwin Cities Marathon
Eight women and 18 men from Fridley completed the course.
Corey McCusick was the first runner from Fridley to finish the 2011 Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon on Sunday morning, with a time of 3:12:56—pretty good for a 35-year-old.
Close behind were John Sippola, 38, at 3:20:22, and Michael Hlusak, 34, at 3:28:21.
The first three women from Fridley to finish were Alison Johnson, 28, at 3:46:37; Kathleen Madden, 54, at 3:56:54; and Tammy Bredahl, 32, 4:00:59.

Madden was also the oldest female finisher from Fridley. At age 57, Dennis Murphy was the oldest male Fridley finisher, at 4:27:53.
Suzy and Eric Boyum, both 37, finished with the same time: 4:41:44.

Medtronic of Fridley Sponsors
It's the 30th running of the Twin Cities Marathon, and the sixth year it has been known as the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon.
“Since Medtronic became our title sponsor of the four events in 2006, participation has increased more than 40 percent,” Virginia Brophy Achman, executive director of Twin Cities In Motion said last year.
