UPDATED (10 a.m.): Amtrak Train Hits, Kills Pedestrian in Fridley

Incident happened around midnight Thursday on BNSF tracks near Osborne Road.

Update (10 a.m. Friday): Dennis Larson sent this email about the incident at 9:40 a.m. Friday:

I was and still am on the train that hit the guy. The stop was so fast the stink from the brakes filled the car I was in. It took forever for the air to clear up. Because of the 3 hour delay it took from 11:30 to after 3 just to get to Anoka. Currently near Minot.

Larson added later:

Most people slept through it and found out about over breakfast in the diner this morning.
