Why Go: Meet Peggy Thompson, the artist of the newest work being displayed in the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute.

When: Friday, July 15 at 6:30 p.m.

Why Go: Take the kids to see Disneynature's Earth on the big screen.
Price: Free




When: Friday, July 15 at 9 p.m.
Where:
Why Go: Live music from the U2 tribute band, Rattle and Hum, and special guests A Radiohead Project.




When: Saturday, July 16 from 7 to 8 p.m.
Where: Oak Hill Baptist Church (4141 University Ave. NE, Columbia Heights)
Why Go: Meet with fellow Christ-followers for a contemporary worship service and discussion.
Price: Free


When: Sunday, July 17 from 12 to 4 p.m.
Where:
Why Go: Learn the history of the tornado that blazed a path through Springbrook in 1986 through nature walks, video, various exhibits, demonstrations, and ice cream.
Price: $3 at the door ($1 per admission will be donated to those recovering from the May 2011 tornado)
