Fridley's Pickle Park New Home to Culver's Jammers

The Culver's Jammers are moving to Fridley's Pickle Park music bar and changing their name to Pickle Pickers, according to ABC Newspapers.

The reason for the change: The Culver's restaurant in Coon Rapids can no longer contain the more than 20 bluegrass musicians and 80 onlookers who come for the weekly Saturday jam session, the report said. The Pickle Pickers' debut jam will be March 10.

The Pickle Pickers join another regular musical shindig with a Fridley connection: The annual Concertina BowlArt Ohotto. The Star Tribune called the squeezebox polka-fest "the 'Super Bowl' for concertinas" in a recent article.
