Pretend the World: An evening of poetry and music

Pretend the World, a book of poetry by Kathryn Kysar published earlier this year is the basis of an exhibition of visual work currently on view at the art center. This is the last chance to catch the show and hear from the poet who will be reading some of the poems. She will be accompanied by jazz clarinetist, Sean Egan. A visiting scholar from China, He Shuman, has composed music to one of the poems, "Holding Her." A musician and academic, He is participating in a scholar exchange at Anoka Ramsey Community College. Kris Bigalk, a  poet and musician who heads the Writing Department at Normandale College will perform the song. A receptioin will follow.
