Help fight hunger in our community. This annual event raises funds for SACA (Southern Anoka Community Assistance) and awareness of this growing problem. Guests are served a simple meal of soup, salad and bread while being entertained by a variety of local performers. Everyone receives a hand crafted "empty bowl" to take home as a minder of hunger in our community.Your generous tax-deductible free will offering is encouraged. 100% of donations received will go directly toward the purchase of food and essential items for those in need.
The Empty Bowls campaign is held every March in our community in order to maximize the dollars received from the Minnesota Food Share program. A percentage of the money SACA raises during March is matched by Minnesota Food Share!
New this year are two dates and two locations- look for more information about our second event, March 24th at Murzyn Hall in Columbia Heights.
