Roman Kotas' Next Trip Home May Be to Stay

The Fridley boy hurt in a bike-car crash had another weekend visit at home and has a tenative release date of Friday.

Roman Kotas spent last weekend at home in Fridley before returning to Gillette Hospital in St. Paul, as described by his father, Wojciech Kotas, in a CaringBridge update:

Roman was able to do what he has customarily done so many times—take a walk following his usual neighborhood route (though accompanied rather than on his own). We also ran some errands (inevitably buying more stuff for both kids) and checked out an .

As far as we know, September 16 still remains Roman's tentative discharge date from Gillette. I (Dad) will have another conference with his physicians and therapists on Wednesday, and I hope this will get confirmed. Incidentally, that same afternoon, a crew from a local TV station (not sure which one) is arriving to do a story on Roman. We will supply more details when they become available.
